Designing site templates for small business

CONTEXT

I run a small one-person business making Framer templates for cafés, driving schools, and hair salons. Each template comes with documentation written for non-designers, so anyone can set it up without stress.

CHALLENGE

CHALLENGE

The Framer template market is crowded with designs that look great but don’t reflect how businesses actually operate. For example, many café templates include a blog page, even though most cafés use Instagram to share updates — because it’s familiar, attracts new customers, and matches client expectations.

APPROACH

APPROACH

I design every template around real business needs. To do that, I review what small businesses request on freelance platforms, look at how their audiences interact with websites, and then build templates that fit those patterns.
